Émérentienne Lirette
LIRETTE, ÉMÉRENTIENNE - Émérentienne Lirette, 88, wife of the late Philias Lirette of Villa de Repos, Moncton, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Villa following a lengthy illness. Born June 30, 1922 in Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anastasie (Paulin) Godin. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Ouellette (late Brian) of Fredericton, her son, Robert (Eleonore) of Saint John; five grandchildren: Denis, Rachel, Phillippe, Eric and Michael; her sisters and brothers: Julienne Boudreau (late Ellsworth) and Edith Arsenault (late George) of Bathurst, Adrienne Thibodeau (Lucien) of Dalhousie, Ernest of Shippagan and Gérard (Dina) of Montréal, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she is also predeceased by her sister and brothers: Émilienne, Étienne, Éphrem and Émile.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours will be on Thursday, June 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, from 10 a.m. until departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Émérentienne, a contribution to the Fondation Providence (Villa de Repos) or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
