In Loving Memory of
EMILIO FALSETTA

It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Emilio Falsetta in his home on June 14th, 2011 at the age of 91.

Emilio is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 69 years, Rosina, his three sons, Italo, Joe and Peter (Wendy), a sister, Gemma in Italy, his grandsons Emilio (Ornella), Dustin, Lee (Crystal) and granddaughter Holly. Nonno will always be remembered with love by his special great-grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew, Daniela, Mackenzie, Deegan and Pietro.

Emilio was born on January 27, 1920 in Altilia, in the Province of Cosenza, Italy to Vincenzo and Francesca Falsetta. In 1942, Emilio and Rosina were married and soon started their family. In 1951, Emilio came to Canada to begin a new life for his family and in 1956, Rosina and the children followed, joining Emilio in their new home.
When Emilio first arrived in Canada, he worked for the CN Rail and later with the Town of North Kamloops, after which he spent twenty-five years with the Provincial Government at Tranquille, where he was a cook. Emilio loved his garden and fruit trees, making wine, fishing, spending time with his family and friends and until a few years ago, enjoyed his daily walks. He and his son Joe shared a special bond, spending countless hours together and enjoying each other's company.

Prayers for Emilio will be recited at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Sunday, June 19th at 7:00 p.m. The Reverend Father Peter Nguyen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 20th, at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Mausoleum.
