Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, after a short illness, on Thursday, June 16th 2011, in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary; sisters: Gladys O’Rear, Elizabeth Cowan, Marge Collins and infant Ruth Parsons. Left with fond and loving memories his loving and devoted wife Elsie; his darling daughter Debbie (Dave) Adey of Newark, Delaware; his loving son and best buddy David (Sharon); two treasured granddaughters: Lindsey Parsons (Denis Gionet) of Fort Mac and Courtney Parsons (Matthew Boland); sister Ruth Parsons; brothers: Tim (Betty), George (Florence), Robert (Hazel), and Harold; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and his canine buddies Maddie & Coal. At his wish, cremation has taken place. Visitation to take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Friday, June 17th, from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm; on Saturday, June 18th, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Funeral service to follow at Barrett’s Chapel at 12:30 pm. Interment to take place at Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
