Kenneth Raymond Ivers, born on October 28, 1928 in Briercrest to William and Eva Ivers, died unexpectedly on Father’s Day June 19, 2011 at home. Ken was predeceased by his parents, his first wife Mary Olynik, and second wife Valerie Reynaud; sisters Eleanor Ainsworth, Doris Sanders, Audrey Williams, and Pearl Ivers; brothers Clarence, Gordon and Bill Ivers. He will be sadly missed by sons Kirk Reynaud (Bobbi), Doug Ivers (Chris), Randy Ivers (Helen), daughter Bev Gobbi (George); sisters Ethel Grosnick, Georgina Webb, Gladys Seida, Darlene Woodrow, June Mallmes, Shirley Jackson, and brother Edward Ivers; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; and two special companions Oscar and Izzy. Ken grew up in the Briercrest area before moving to Moose Jaw where he was known as a great truck driver, doing almost any driving job from long hauls to quick trips. Driving from the age of 14 until his late 70’s, that is what he loved most. Ken was a great friend to everyone he met and he will be missed by all. A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Friday June 24, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Pastor John McCubbing will officiate. Memorialization will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society, Box 1658, Moose Jaw, S6H 7K7, would be appreciated. In living memory of Ken, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
