William Neil Ferguson, 58 of Lake Echo passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Northwood Nursing Home Invany Place, Hammonds Plains, after a courageous seven year battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).
Born in Sydney Mines, he was a son of the late George and Alma (Cantwell) Ferguson. Bill will be fondly remembered for his wonderful sense of humour which he maintained until the very end.
He was a very loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather and brother. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
Bill is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Clara; daughter, Brandie (Allison); son, Christopher; stepchildren, Douglas and Julie Tibbel; sisters, Debbie Reashore, Diane Dinham and Georgina Gillis; brother, Bruce Ferguson; grandchildren, Jessie and Isabella Allison.
Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his daughter, Shannon Ferguson.
Visitation will be held from 12-1p.m. followed by a memorial service Saturday June 25, 2011 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Interment will follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
