LENIHAN, DOROTHY GENEVA - Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Dorothy Lenihan died at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on July 3rd, 2011 at the age of 91. Born in Nashwaaksis, NB, on March 25th, 1920, she was the wife of the late Gerard Lenihan. Dorothy leaves behind her sons, Patrick (Janis), and Gerald Lenihan; daughter, Marilyn Keeling (Richard); sister, Josephine (Robert) Neill; grandchildren, David, Kim, Stephen, Tracy, Brian, Darin, Shara, Evan, Ross, Amber, Kristy, Chris and Cathy; daughters-in-law, Lynn and Karen Lenihan; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her husband, Gerard, Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Ada (Hazlette) Coates; and sons, Paul and Donald. Dorothy graduated from Nursing School at the top of her class and was given the surgical award. She retired from nursing after many years of working at the Victoria Public Hospital. She was a strong believer in prayer, having two prayer sessions per day as her family grew and was very proud of the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.

There will be no visitation at her request. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 5th, 2011 at 11 am with Fr. Aaron Knox officiating. Interment will take place in the Hermitage Catholic Cemetery.
