Florence (nee: Hutchinson, Grant) Hickey passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2009, in her 86th year, at the North Bay General Hospital, North Bay, Ontario. Loving mother of Warren Grant, Ottawa; Peggy (Alan) Morrison, North Bay; and step-mother of Anne (Andy) Normand, Ottawa. Remembered by grandchildren Heather (Trevor) Pardy, Toronto; Chris Hickey, Toronto; Marc (Jennifer) Normand, Ottawa; Tamara (Noel) McCormick, Kingston; Todd Grant, Kingston; Shauna (Kevin) Ouellette, North Bay; Nick (Sarah) Allen, Cambridge; Leslie Morrison (Edwin Turton), Maastritch, Holland; eleven great-grandchildren, all in Ontario; and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Claude Grant; daughter Shirley; second husband C.C. (Bill) Hickey; step-sons Norman Hickey, Charles “Chuck” Hickey; her parents Colin and Sarah (MacKinnon) Hutchinson and her brothers Roy, George and Bryon Hutchinson. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Friday, then to St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Visiting hours Thursday from 7-9 p.m. only. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
