Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital surrounded by her loving and heart broken family, Trudy Gertrude Mary Roberts (nee Ashley), February 24, 1946 - July 16, 2011. Predeceased by her father Joseph Ashley; Brother Dennis Ashley; sister Joanne Densmore; father-in-law Harry Roberts and brother-in-law Harry Roberts Jr. Loving wife, mother and Nanis to her husband of 43 years Fred; her children: Freddie (Tammy), Dennis (Jodi) and Tracy Tucker (Jamie); her grandchildren, who were the delight of her life: Jack, Ella, Simon, Spencer and Megan; mother Isabelle Ashley; sisters: Rosemary Healy (Mike), Isabelle Campbell (Bill), Bonnie Kelly (Ron), Maryann Buckingham (Dave) and Barbara; brothers: Joe (Susan), Pat, Ken (Judy), Greg (Patrina) and Bill; mother-in-law Dorothy; sisters-in-law: Nancy (Hooper), Suzan (Finn). Trudy will be dearly missed by the many friends she and Fred have had over the years. A very heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for their loving professional and compassionate care of Trudy and her family. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held from Corpus Christi Parish, Waterford Bridge Road on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at The Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kilbride.
