It is with deep sadness, we regret to announce the passing of Judy Myhill, on July 11, 2011 in Vernon B.C. after a lengthy illness.
Judy was born in Sydney, N.S. on Dec.1, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Graham Wesley and Catherine (Ross) Dunlop. Judy later moved to Toronto where she met her husband, John. They married and later moved to British Columbia, eventually settling in Vernon where she worked as a special needs childcare teacher and also operated a guesthouse. Judy enjoyed camping, gardening, and exploring the many parks in the Okanagan Valley with her family and friends.
Judy was a dedicated mother and wife. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, John and daughter, Ariella Rebecca; brothers, Graham (Liz) Dunlop and Jack (Karen) Dunlop; sisters, Beth File and Joan Monaghan (Gord); her dogs Missy, and Billy extended family and friends.
Judy was a strong believer in Jesus Christ, and had a profound and deep faith that encouraged others.
The funeral service for Judy was held on Friday, July 15, 2011, in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home in Vernon, B.C. with internment in the Coldstream Cemetery.
At Judy’s request, memorial donations can be made to Vernon & District Hospice House, or Vernon Women’s Transition House B.C.
