It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Jean (Cadden) Baker at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit in Sydney on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009.
For the past five years, she was a resident of Harbourstone Enhanced Care.
Born in New Waterford, Margaret Jean was the daughter of the late Albert and Isabelle (MacNeil) Cadden.
She was an adherent of Faith Baptist Church, Sydney.
Margaret Jean is survived by her loving son, George, Sydney and London, England and sister, Isabella Moore, Sydney.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Baker; brothers, William, Robert, George, Dave and Albert; many nieces and nephews in Sydney, Ontario and Alberta.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel today (Wednesday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday 2 p.m., with Pastor Dan Biggar officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff at Harbourstone Enhanced Care for their loving care and also, the staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit for their kindness during her short stay there.
