Noels Pond

It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Best announce his passing at his residence in Noels Pond on Saturday, July 23rd, 2011 at the age of 74 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Carol and three sons: Larry (Denise) White of Whitby, Ontario, Christopher White of Stephenville, Dean White of Okotoks, Alberta, seven brothers: Ollie Best of Port au Bras, Dave (Lorraine) Best of Cox’s Cove, William (Rhoda) Best of Cox’s Cove, Gilbert (Marguerite) Best of Toronto, Fred (Trudy) Best of Cox’s Cove, Paul (Norma) Best of Toronto, Greg Best (Katherine) of Toronto, four sisters: Betty McCarthy of Toronto, Violet (Curt) Rukutis of Toronto, Emma Kennedy of Port au Bras, Jean (Greg) Cook of Powell River, British Columbia, two grandchildren: Tyler, Veronica and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Lilly Best and his brother, Sonny Best. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday, July 26th from 7 - 9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Hillview Avenue, Stephenville on Thursday, July 28th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Canon Dawn Barrett officiating. Interment to follow in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
