William “Butch” Miller

William “Butch” Miller

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving husband, caring and cherished father and “Best Buddy” grandpa. Bill (known as “Butch” down home) was born in 1941 in Westville, Nova Scotia to the late Joseph and Gertrude (Little) Miller.
Bill worked for well over 20 years at Blackstone/Valeo in Stratford until early retirement due to illness.
Missed terribly by wife of 42 years Marilyn (Snelgrove), daughter Tammy and husband Terry Scott, son Joseph and grandson Angus Scott, all of Stratford. Also by brother Harold (Diane) Miller, Amherst, N.S, sister Kay Mackenzie, Westville, N.S, in-laws Everett (Marie) Snelgrove, Oshawa, Ont., Lois (Robert) Brown Camborne, Ont. June Miller St. Catharines, Ont., many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by sister Doris Little (Ralph Clark) Westville, N.S who cared for him, along with his other siblings after his mother’s death when he was five years old, brothers John, Halifax, N.S. and Jim, St. Catharines, Ont.; also a baby sister at birth.
Bill wanted to thank everyone for making the last few years of his life at home possible, Dr’s MacIver, Aitken, Martin, Vinder, their staff and nurses; the wonderful ladies at CCAC, Nicole from the lab, SGH, LHSC and University hospitals and staff. No matter how tough life got for Butch he always had a smile to share and faced his problems head-on… we are so proud of him.!!!
Following Bill wishes, cremation has taken place with interment at Camborne Cemetery at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the March of Dimes or to the charity of one’s choice though W.G.Young Funeral Home.
