LeBLANC, ZACHARIE - Zacharie "Zack" LeBlanc, 78, surrounded by his loving family passed away peacefully at his residence in Shediac on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 following a lengthy illness. Born August 2, 1932 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Alexandre and Olanda (Dupuis) LeBlanc. Zack served in
Canada and Germany with NATO. He was employed as a commissionaire at D.S.S. in Shediac prior to his retirement. Zach was a very creative person and loved to paint, draw and do sculptures. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 7 years, Clarice (Fougère) LeBlanc, a daughter Janet Purdy (Ian) of Calgary, AB, three sons: George McKinnon (Sandy) of Santa Fee, NM, Al LeBlanc (Kathy) of Victoria, BC and Donald LeBlanc (Chapelle Melanson) of Moncton; a step-daughter Ginette Barns (Dereck) of Ottawa, ON, a sister Sara Arsenault of Shediac, a brother Elzéar LeBlanc "Ozzie"' of Shediac, six grandchildren: Katie, Nicholas, Amy, Jason, Becky, Tyler and by many nieces, nephews and friends. He will also be missed by his family pets Keisha and Phoebe. He is predeceased by his 1st wife Emma LeBlanc (2002) and by four brothers: Thadée, René, Léandre and Ben and a sister Delphine.
In keeping with Zack's wishes, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment of the ashes in St. Joseph Cemetery, Shediac. Cremation and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297).
