Ruth McLeod, 84, Port Hawkesbury, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.
Ruth was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Sydney. She was a daughter of the late John and Dolena (MacLeod) MacLean.
Prior to her retirement Ruth was the manager of the Silver Dart Motel, Baddeck.
Ruth leaves to mourn several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Paul Tait; 2nd husband, Norman ‘Mac’ McLeod; sisters, Sonny Primmer, Sally MacLean, Audrey Ames, brothers, John, Fred, Howard, Lawrence, Claude, Jackie and Donald MacLean.
As Ruth has requested there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
