Katherine (Kaye) Anderson-Ryan (nee MacDonald) died in hospital in Ottawa, Ont., after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer.
Kaye was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Philip Anderson, and survived by her children, Judy Hinkelman (Al Metcalfe), Vancouver, Ron (Mae), Joan, Ross (Debbie Quinn) and her grandchildren, Leigh, Brian, Sean, Kyle, Brenna, Jennifer, Allison, Patrick, Shawn and Dean and her great-grandchild, Avery. Also survived by her sister, Elizabeth; brother, Bernie and Sister Carmie, all of Sydney, N.S.; and her many nieces and nephews. Kaye is also survived by her husband, Patrick Ryan and his children, Tim (Hanna), Debbie Kuffner (Joe) and Rob (Nancy Carriere) and his grandchildren, Ryan, Brendon, Colton, Weston and Trenton.
Kaye was a Eucharistic Minister, an avid swimmer and a volunteer in the community.
We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the General Hospital and Elizabeth Bruyere for their incredible care and kindness given to Mom.
