Passed peacefully away at Hoyles-Escasoni Complex, in the presence of her family on July 31, 2011, Clara Hunt of Glovertown, age 95 years. Predeceased by husband Joseph (1993). Left with fond and loving memories: son, Wilfred (Marion) of St. John's; daughters: Ann (Augustus Butt) of Glovertown, & Yvonne (Randy Smeaton) of Nova Scotia; five grandchildren: Michelle (David Lam), Nancy (Santiago Saenz), Sean, Krista (Wayne Moores), & Christopher (Frances Smeaton); two great-grandchildren: Colin Smeaton & Grace Moores; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Oram's Funeral Home, Glovertown, on Tuesday, August 2nd, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday, August 3rd, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at Faith United Church, Glovertown, on Thursday, August 4th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clara's memory may be made to the Faith United Church Cemetery Fund or a charity of one's choice. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff of 2 East, Escasoni who gave such loving care to Clara over the past 12 years.
