Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, Minnie Slade of Western Bay, age 88 years. Predeceased by husband George H.; infant daughter Donna; son George William; brother Charles Kennell; stepbrother Freeman; stepsister Elizabeth Osmond. Leaving to mourn one daughter Judy (William) Blundon, Chapel Arm; three sons: Fred (Ada), Dennis (Brenda) and Kevin (Diane), all of Carbonear; daughter-in-law Sandra Slade, Western Bay; seven grandchildren: Deanne, Terry, Cynthia (Darryl), David, Jeffrey (Sara), Jennifer and Nicole; one great-granddaughter Brianna; brother-in-law Jethro (Joan) Slade, Western Bay; sister-in-law Ruby Legge, Twillingate; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Funeral service to take place on Friday, October 2 at 2 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay.
