January 7, 1931 - August 10, 2011. Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on August 10, 2011, Rosalie M. Fitzpatrick of St. Lawrence, age 80 years. Predeceased by husband Ambrose Fitzpatrick; granddaughter Melaine Fitzpatrick; parents Adelaide & Fredrick Stacey; sisters: Mildred Collins, Stella Haley, Emily Pittman, Bethina Purchase, Jessie Kilfoy, Mary Hillier, Hilda Loder, Margaret Cousins; brothers: Stanley Stacey, William Stacey and Leslie Stacey. Leaving to mourn daughters: Rita Barnes (Wilson) of St. Lawrence, and Iris Bonnell (Max) of St. John’s; sons: John Fitzpatrick (Lois) of Winnipeg and Cecil Fitzpatrick (Kauri) of Kelona; step-sister Betty Stacey of St. John's; grandchildren: Bradley Barnes (Sabina), Weldon Bonnell (Tanya), Jill Bonnell-Hollett (Marc), Faye White (Tony), Megan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Justin Fitzpatrick; great-grandchildren: Luke White, Joshua Bonnell, Nicholas Bonnell and Sarah Bonnell; plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass was conducted by Father Critch on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Thomas Aquinas RC Church in St. Lawrence. Interment followed at Mount Cecilia RC Cemetery in St. Lawrence. In Rosalie's memory, donations may be made to Mount Cecilia Cemetery Fund or flowers gratefully accepted. Special thanks to nephews: Michael Loder, Joseph Haley and Kevin Haley; sister-in-law Susan Drake and friend Alice Anstey for their countless hours of care during her long illness.
