LeBLANC, LÉO - Léo F. LeBlanc, 74, of Cap Pelé passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Born August 4, 1937 in Cap Pelé, he was the son of the late Félicien and Valida (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Cape Bald Packers. He is survived by his wife Lilianne (Landry) LeBlanc and their three children: Yvon (Lise) of Saint André, Anne Petitpas (Guy) of Haute Aboujagane and Lise Dionne (Charles) of Saint-Louis-de-Kent; a brother Françis (Géraldine) of Grand Barachois, a sister: Huberte Richard (late Roderick) of Moncton; seven grandchildren: Janny, Joël, Patrice, Annelle, Annie, Sébastien and Justin; two great grandchildren: Thomas and Émilie; and by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two sisters: Lorraine and Eva.
Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap Pelé (577-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure 10:20 a.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap Pelé on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Cap Pelé parish cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Oncology and Palliative Care Units at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre and the Extra Mural nurses for the excellent care given to Léo during his illness.
