Dorothy May Hall of Penticton, formerly of Kamloops, B.C. passed away at home in the afternoon of Sunday, August 21, 2011. She was born in Calgary, Alberta on November 3, 1917 and was the eldest of five children born to Clara and Samuel Virtue.

She is survived by her daughter Laurie (Wilfrid) Durand, grandsons Larry (Bernice) Durand and Randy Durand all of Kamloops, great grandchildren Krista, Ashley, Gage and Brandon; her daughter Sharon (Richard) Durand of Penticton; grandsons Heath Durand of Calgary, Alberta and Dr. D'Arcy (Dr. Carolyn) Durand of Edmonton, Alberta. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister Hilda Pfeifer of Salmon Arm, B.C. and several nieces and nephews in B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan.

She was predeceased by her parents Clara and Samuel Virtue, husband Mike Hall, grandson Jason Durand, sister Joy Kendell, brothers Jimmy and Gordon Virtue.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery, Kamloops.
