BABINEAU, LÉONA - Léona Babineau, 88, wife of the late Alexandre Babineau passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Villa Providence Home, Shediac. Born September 24, 1922 in Rogersville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ozélie (Landry) Gaudet. Léona is survived by a daughter Jeanne Blaquière of Gardner, Mass.; three sons: Ernest (Maria) and Joseph Roland (Shirley) both of Gardner, Mass and Robert of Florida; seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and by many nephews and nieces. Besides her husband Alexandre (1996), she is also predeceased by two sons: Lloyd and
(infant) Roland, a daughter Rose Allain, and by many brothers and sisters: Laurie Haché, Stella Robertson, Armand, Marie Arsenault and Ernest.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Shediac on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 4 p.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations in Léona's memory may be made a charity of the donor's choice.
