Myles G. Farrell, age 76, a longtime resident of Lynn, Mass., formerly of Cambridge, Mass., passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Heywood Hospital in Gardner, following a brief illness.
He was the beloved husband of Teresa (MacPherson) Farrell, who passed away on Jan. 26, 2001.
Born in Glace Bay on Oct. 27, 1934, he was the son of the late Joseph Farrell and the late Anne (MacDonald) Farrell.
Myles was raised on Cape Breton Island and attended Cape Breton schools.
He is survived by two children, Anne M. Cordeiro, Danvers and Michael A. Farrell and his wife Kellie, Dracut; five grandchildren, Michael and Kristina Cordeiro and Matthew, Ava and Julia Farrell; two great-grandchildren, Javian Arroyo and Riley Farrell; his son-in-law, Carl Cordeiro, Medford; one sister, Rita Morrison, Glace Bay; one brother, John Farrell, Toronto; his brother-in-law, Leonard Stevenson, Dominion; also many nieces and nephews.
Myles was also the brother of the late Lavinia Farrell, Audrey Stevenson, and Michael Farrell.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Immaculate Conception (Cavalry) Cemetery, Bridgeport.
