MABEL CARRIE HOLDEN of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully October 8, 2009 at the age of 92 years. Mabel was very outgoing and active. She enjoyed traveling, especially to B.C., Arizona, Hawaii and Sweden to name a few. Mabel enjoyed spending time at Crescent Park and listening to The Old Time Fiddlers was one of her favorite past times. She also enjoyed dancing - her feet never stayed in one place. Predeceased by her first husband, Harold Lindquist, second husband, Hilmer Holden, two brothers and three sisters, she will be sadly missed by step-children: Ron (Holly) Lindquist – Qualicum Beach, B.C., Judy (Al) – Moose Jaw, Lorne (Sylvia) – Central Butte and John Holden - Calgary; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.; sisters: Gladys (Dennis) and Doris (Harry) – all of Moose Jaw. A Celebration of Mabel’s Life will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Memorialization will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
