September 1st, 1929 – September 4th, 2011. In the presence of family, Edmund, age 82 years, originally from Thornlea, Trinity Bay, passed peacefully away on September 4, 2011, at the Shag Rock Manor, Whiteway. Predeceased by his son John Reginald, mother Emma, father Joseph, brother Sidney (Rose) and grand-daughter Melissa. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife Ruby, children Bruce (Phyllis), Robert (Roberta), David (Doreen), Charles, Elizabeth Briant (Brad), Wilfred (Vicki), Rosemary and stepsons Byford Garnier (Linda) and Aubrey Garnier, brothers Eric (Phoebe), Bill (Ethel), Tom (Marjorie), sisters Dorcas Rowe (Roland) and Minnie, sister-in-law Rose Thorne, 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, extended family, friends, and the staff and residents of Shag Rock Manor. Resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne with visitation from 5:00 - 9:30 pm on Monday and on Tuesday, Sept 6, 2011 from 2-5 p.m. and at Faith United Church, 7:00 - 9:30 pm. Funeral service to take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept 7th, 2011 at Faith United Church, Thornlea. Interment to follow.
