GAUDET, GEORGE ROBERT - 1961 - 2011 - It is with great sadness that the family of George Gaudet announce his sudden passing on September 5th 2011 at the age of 49. Born in Moncton NB on September 22nd, 1961, George was the son of George and Barbara (Lamkey) Gaudet. Besides his parents George will be deeply missed by his family, daughter Kelly and grand-daughter Makyah, siblings Gail O’Brien (Bill), Gwen Breneol (Larry), Susan Meade (Gary), Bill Gaudet (Linda) and sister Sandy Comeau as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins and friends. He will be remembered forever as “Uncle George” to Jeremy (Melody), Sarah (Marc), Derek, Katlyn (Seaton), Anna and Dylan. George had a very special zest for life and was a great friend to many. He was a long time employee of Maritime Door and Window and a past president of the Greater Moncton Home Builders Association. He was well known for his sense of humour, contagious smile and big heart. He could always be counted on for lending a helping hand to anyone in need. George never passed up an opportunity to spend time with his loved ones. Whether it be a trip to the camp with the “boys”, weekends at the cottage with family and friends, going out to the movies, shooting a game of pool, heading down to the “chalet”, Wednesday afternoon lunches with Mom and Dad, he always went late to have them all to himself. Spending the day with the apple of his eye, grand-daughter Makyah was by far his favorite past time. George always found time for his family and his friends.
Resting at Fair Haven funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Please join our family in a celebration of George’s life at the St. John's United Church, 75 Alma Street, Moncton on Tuesday, September 13 at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. Memorial donations in George's memory may be made in Trust of Makyah (Jade) Gaudet (Precious Grand Daughter).
