PARENT, PERCY - On August 26, 2011 Mr. Percy Parent passed away peacefully at Kamloops, B.C. after a lengthy battle with myelofibrosis. Survived by his loving wife Mary Ann and daughters Andrea of Margaree Valley, NS and Selena of Halifax, NS and brother Wayne (Vicki) and sisters Sheila (Brian) and Josephine. He was predeceased by his father Milton and mother Iona from Nackawick, NB. Percy was born in Fredericton, NB and graduated from Southampton Regional High School in 1962. He moved to Victoria in 1963 where he eventually worked for the Ministry of Transportation and Highways. He retired after 35 years of service in 2006. We wish to thank everyone who took care of Percy over the past 4 years.
A Celebration of Percy’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. in the Hills of Peace Lutheran Church, 695 Robson Street.
