Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, of David W. Smith, formerly of Newton, aged 58 years. Son of Elaine Smith (nee Roberts) and the late Raymond Smith. Survived by a brother Paul (Mike Murphy), Charlottetown; sisters Anne (Leo) Flood, Kinkora; and Mary Ellen (Mike) Kelly, Cornwall. Uncle of Stacey and Craig Flood and Jared, Ryan and Connor Kelly. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora. Visiting hours Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. only. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora, on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation.
