Elmer Eugene Nesbitt, 80, of Centreville, Digby County. It is with sadness for the family of Elmer but peace and rest for him that we announce that Elmer passed away Aug. 15, 2011. Born Sept. 18, 1930, Elmer was a son of the late Ralph and Effie (Raymond) Nesbitt. Elmer was married to Beulah (Titus) on Nov. 26, 1952. Elmer lived a happy life; he was a fisherman, having fished many years with his brother Curtis on many boats, the last one being the Setting Sea II. Elmer loved to go to Walkers Fisheries in Little River to chat with his buddies. Elmer is survived by his wife, Beulah; a son, Ralph (Christa), and a daughter, April Dawn (Sidney), both of Centreville; grandchildren, Nathan, Amber, Emily, Jody and Jessie; great-grandchildren, Faith and Kayleb; a brother, Curtis (Gladys), Centreville; sisters, Mary, Liverpool; Kathleen and Myrtle, both of Calgary. Elmer was predeceased by brothers, Herbert, Roy, Ernest and Arnold; and sisters, Beulah, Goldie and Lela. A special thanks to his physicians, nurses and friends over the years. As per Elmer’s wishes, there will be no service. A private interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Elmer’s memory can be made to Union Burial Ground.
