SIMPSON, Edwin George - “Uncle Buck” passed away suddenly at his home in Brantford, Ontario, on Monday, September 12, 2011, in his 59th year. Edwin was born in Hampshire, England on July 14, 1953. Beloved son of Edwina and the late Rev. Dr. George Simpson (1997). Brother to Rosalind Cole (George). Uncle to Stephen Cole (Tammy), Debbie Thompson (Jim). Great Uncle to Joshua and Aaron Cole, Olivia, Isaac and Lucas Thompson. Nephew of Lillian Simpson of Lewannick, England and also survived by many cousins overseas. Edwin was an uncle to our adopted family Jose, Bonnie, Emily Flores and Tulliana Duiker. Ed was formerly from New Minas, Nova Scotia. Visitation was at MCCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME 495 Park Rd. N. on Thursday, September 15, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service was held at Queensway Baptist Church, 211 St. George St. at Queensway Dr., on Friday, September 16, at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Rev. Deane Proctor of Queensway Baptist Church and Carol Caswell officiated.
