At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, of Elmer Claude Ramsay of Northam aged 81, beloved husband of Norma (nee Dyment-Craig). Ramsay. Born on May 25, 1928, son of the late David and Florence (Williams) Ramsay. Cherished father of Barb Ramsay-DesRoches (Calvin), Northam. Dear stepfather of Normalee Teskey (Brian) Cobourg, Ont., Edgar Craig, Edmonton, Alta., Billy Craig (Nancy), Bideford, Bruce Craig (Yvonne), Arlington, Susan Williams (James), Bideford, Ralph Craig (Heather), Travellers Rest, Vernon Craig (Susan), Northam, Milla Craig (Blaise), Montreal. Loving grandfather of 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Brother of Sadie Jones, Summerside. Brother-in-law of Priscilla Ramsay, Summerside, and Ethel Newitt, Belleville, Ont., Jean Dyment, Northam, Margaret (Roger) MacArthur, Charlottetown, Bannerman (Arlene) Craig, Summerside, Blanche MacLeod, Coleman, Janell (Erroll) Moore, Morrisburg, Ont. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Linda Hood, granddaughter, Caylene Craig, sister, Harriett, brothers, Dr Leigh, Stewart, Allison and Sherman in infancy. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Monday in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Tyne Valley United Church Cemetery. Ellerslie Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance for their late member at the funeral home Sunday at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Stewart Memorial Hospital Foundation, Tyne Valley United Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
