Passed away after a lengthy illness at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s on Sunday, September 18, 2011, Marie Best of Clarenville, aged 54 years. Predeceased by parents Daisy and Cyril Strong; brother Robert Strong. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Ian of 35 years; sons Geoffrey (Lara) and Jonathan (Tanya); grandson Cohen; brother Tom West (Blanche); sister Sherry Hampton & Family and Betty Brake (Derrick) & Family; sister-in-law Sheena Best (Robert); aunts Mable West (guardian Mom) and Marie Hall; special friends Cathy & Charlie Marsh and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Memorial United Church, Clarenville with interment at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery. In her memory donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
