Passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at the age of 79, with his family by his side. He was born on October 28, 1946, in Magog, Quebec, to the late Mary Fitzgerald and the late Frank Woodard.
George leaves behind his loving wife, Sandra Bennett, and his children, Tim Woodard (Shannon McGovern) and Lisa Woodard (Joel Dumoulin). He was a proud grandfather to Amber, Marlin, and Boe (Mariah), and Jack (Marissa) and Allie (Josch), all of whom brought him great joy and tremendous pride.

He will be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and neighbours.

Family will receive condolences at the Saint-Paul United church (211 Rue des Pins, Magog, QC J1X 2H8) Friday July 10th, 2026 at 11 am followed by a service at noon. Refreshments will follow at the church.
