WILLIAMS, Merrill Robert, 68, of Lockeport, formerly of Fort McMurray, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2011. Born in Lydgate, NS, on April 9, 1943 he was the son of Hastings and Jessie Williams. Merrill was a plumber and pipe fitter. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Parks, his son Andrew (Tasia), and daughters, Cameilia (Dwight) and Marsha (Gary), and grandchildren, Amber, Brenna, Alexander and Maximus. Merrill is also survived by his brother, Vinal (Elizabeth), and sisters, Valda (Byron) and Linda (Norman), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Alonzo, Wendell, Maynard, Neil, Bruce, Brian, and sisters, June and Jessie. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home. An open house was held at Merrill and Sarah’s home for family and friends on Tuesday, September 20, afternoon and evening for those who wished to offer their condolences. Interment at a later date in Lockeport Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Lockeport Cemetery Committee.
