LeBLANC, RAYMOND GERARD -With great sadness, his family announces the death of Raymond Gerard LeBlanc of Moncton on September 21, 2011. Born in St. Anselme, New Brunswick on January 27, 1922 to the late Dominique LeBlanc and Hermance LeBlanc, Raymond was educated at College du Sacre-Coeur in Bathurst and College Saint-Joseph in Memramcook and served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in England during the Second World War. Raymond (along with his brothers) owned and operated Green Gables Restaurant and Cabins in St. Anselme and worked for White Cab Co. Beloved husband of the late Jean Craigmile Duncan (2011) for 55 years, loving father of Suzanne of Ottawa, Kathleen Betts of Loughton, England, Raymond (Joane Caissie) of Dieppe and Christopher of Moncton. Cherished grandfather of Victoria, Rebecca, Duncan and Phillippa Betts of England. Predeceased by his siblings Beatrice, Ernest, Huberte and Arthur. Raymond will be sadly missed by his sisters Emma Normandin, Geraldine LeBlanc, Irene Morse and his brother Leonard (Kay) as well as many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the wonderful care Raymond received while residing at the Veterans Health Centre in Moncton for the last year and a half.
Visitation will be held Monday evening, September 26th, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fair Haven Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
