Wesley Sterling ‘Wes’ Gray, 66, Port Hawkesbury died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at home.
Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Kenneth W. and Edna A. (MacGillivary) Gray.
Wes was a retired custodian with Inverness County School Board and a member of St. Mark’s United Church, Port Hawkesbury.
Wes is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Fox); daughter, Amanda, Port Hawkesbury; sons, Wesley (Pam Hipson), Lawrencetown, Blair (Karen), Halifax, Greg (Dana Bryon), Edmonton Alta.; stepson, David Keefe, Port Hawkesbury.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Wes was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Bell.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m., Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday in St. Mark’s United Church, with Rev. Sheldon LeGrow officiating. Burial in Southbrook Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made in Wes’ memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Diabetes Association.
