RUSSELL, MABEL (TOOTSIE) ANNABELLE - Mabel (Tootsie) A. Russell of Harvey Station, NB, wife of Roland J. Russell passed away peacefully at her home on October 1, 2011. Tootsie was born at McAdam, NB in 1937, the daughter of the late Elmer and Mildred (McCleary) Harris.
She was a member of the Red Hatters and a longtime member of the Harvey Lioness Club. Tootsie is survived by her husband, her children, Rick Brown (Susan), Ontario, Mike Russell (Sharon), Harvey, NB, Esther Singer, Alberta, Sherri Russell (Adam), British Columbia, Barbara Messer (Wade), Fredericton, NB, Suzanne MacDonald (Ricky), Harvey, NB, Gary Russell (Carolyn), Ontario, Lester Russell (Lori), Fredericton, NB, Gerry Russell (Cheryl), Fredericton, NB and Mark Russell (Patsy), Harvey, NB; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brothers, Hazen Harris (Jocelyn), Aubrey Harris (Linda), Roger Harris, Norman Harris (Barbara), all of Ontario and Lester Daley (Theresa), Harvey, NB; a sister-in-law, Elthea Harris, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Leon Harris.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station, NB on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2448 Route 645, Cork, NB on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. by Father Matthew Onwugigbo. Interment will be at a later date in Cork Cemetery. A Lioness tribute service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:45 p.m. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Tootsie, the family has suggested a charity of the donor's choice.
