June Coakley

Date de décès : 1er octobre 2011

COAKLEY, JUNE ALICE - The death of June Alice Coakley of New Zion, NB occurred Saturday, October 1st, 2011 at the Chalmer's Regional Hospital. After cheating death three times in the last three years, a fall while enjoying a happy vacation quickly ended this phase of her existence. We are comforted to know that she was so happy in recent weeks and that she and our late Father, Charlie, are together again. Born in Chipman, NB she was the daughter of the late John and Laura (MacDonald) Murphy. June and Charles were married August 31st, 1950 while she was working as a telephone operator in Minto. They built their little pink house in New Zion, NB and raised four sons and also lived in Quebec, Ontario, BC and PEI. In addition to being a great wife, mother and housekeeper, June was the organizer of most family activities and was usually at the centre of all the fun events. She was an animal lover and people-person and loved providing customer service while working at businesses such as Valentino Drug Store. She also excelled as a caregiver for seniors in the Fredericton area. Survived by sons, Richard, Robert and Peter (Ava) all of Minto, NB, Jeffrey of Riverview, NB; six grandchildren, Mark, Shaun, Austin, Amanda, Brandon and Tristen; four great grandchildren, Emma, Leah, Finn and Brayden; brothers, Doug Murphy of Hamilton, ON, Don Murphy (Muriel) of New Zion, NB and Jerry Murphy (Eileen) of Riverview, NB; sisters, Helen Babineau of New Zion, NB, Beatrice Fox of Victoria, BC and Jean Crawford of Dartmouth, NS; several nieces and nephews; a friend Ralph Krueger; four cats and two dogs. In addition to her parents, June was predeceased by her husband Charlie Russell Coakley in 2008; brothers, Ted and Bob Murphy.
In keeping with June's wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral Service will take place 11:00AM Wednesday, October 5th, 2011 from Saint Michael and All Angel's Anglican Church, Minto, NB. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the Oromocto SPCA or charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
