It is with great sadness that the family of the late Norma Gillis announce her passing at her residence on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the age of 78 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Gilbert, three sons: Alan (Doreen) of Toronto, Brian of Stephenville, Ron (Val) of Calgary, five daughters: Jane of Toronto, Lynn of Stephenville, Peggy (Gary) of Port au Port, Dawn Marie (Scott) of Saskatchewan, Susan (Sam) of Georgia, two brothers: Stephen and Shane, both of Toronto, seven sisters: Stella and Sarah, both of Texas, Rita, Patsy, Iris, all of Toronto, Sharon of Port au Port, Debbie of Toronto, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Jane Cormier, brother, Paul and sister, Jane. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Thursday, October 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, October 7th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with Interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville.
