FOOTE, Ruth Major (nee Young)– At 70 years of age, Ruth was welcomed into the arms of her Lord on December 6, 2008, while at home in the loving care of her family. Beloved wife of Bram for 46 years. Cherished mother of Verley (Brian Foote), Karen (Ray Baggs), Viola (Ron Easton), Krista Foote, Kerry (Amberley Foote). Loving Nan of Kyle, Collin, Amanda, Victoria, Vanessa and Harlie. Dear sister of Elmer (Louise Young), Marie (Tom Piercey), Rita Young and the late Ralph Young. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruth was born in Twillingate, Newfoundland and dedicated many years to The Salvation Army serving as Corps Officer in various Newfoundland communities for 24 years and 17 years as Hospital Chaplin at The Grace Hospital in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Windsor, Ont. Ruth officially retired in 2000, but continued her care for others. If you so desire, donations to the Windsor Essex Regional Cancer Centre or The Salvation Army, South Windsor Citadel would be appreciated by the family. Funeral service today, Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Ave. Interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
