Passed peacefully away at St Clare’s Mercy Hospital on October 1st, 2011 surrounded by her loving family, Veronica Howlett (nee Hynes), aged 64 years. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Matilda Hynes (Lake), mother and father-in-law Patrick and Mary Howlett (Fahey), granddaughter Destiny, brother Walter Hynes, nephew Conrad Fitzgerald, niece Amanda Power, sisters Lorraine Fowler and Cecilia Power, brothers-in-law Phillip and Stan Howlett, sisters-in-law Agnes Lundrigan, Catherine Chafe and Rita Putt. Left with loving memories her devoted husband of 44 years Jerome, two sons Jerome Jr (Brenda), Shawn (Darlene), and daughter Sheri (Brian); five grandchildren who were the light of her life, Kierra, Dawson, Nikia, Jacob and Lauren; sisters Mary Thoms (Jim), Elizabeth Sands (Doug) and Kate Hynes; brothers Aloysius (Toni), Patrick (Mag), Jim (Darlene); sisters-in-law Hannah Ryan, Betty Glynn, Veronica Mulcahy and Gertrude Howlett; brothers-in-law Gerald Howlett (Daphne), Victor Howlett (Evelyn) and James Putt; also, a large number of nieces and nephews and a large circle of close friends, especially Marjorie Ryan. Veronica was a part of the Goulds business community where she ran her own sewing shop “Veronica’s Sewing” for 23 years, making many lifelong friends along the way. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, October 6th, 2011 from St. Kevin’s Church at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Kevin’s Cemetery.
