Roland Loggie
LOGGIE, ROLAND O. - 1943-2011 - Miramichi - Roland Orval Loggie, husband of Ruth Loggie, of Water Street, Miramichi, passed away suddenly, in Moncton, on Tuesday evening, October 4, 2011, at the age of 68. Born in Chatham, on May 22, 1943, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Ina E. (Taylor) Loggie. He was an owner operator with Midland Transport Ltd., and a former employee of both Gold Line Transport as well as Seaboard Transport Ltd. He was a member of Knox United Church, Miramichi; a former elder and member of Session of Knox United Church; a member of the Pine Grove Cemetery Board of Directors; a member of the Million Mile club of Seaboard Transport Ltd. He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Walsh; two daughters, Shelley Stymiest (Mark), of Moncton and Tammy Moar (Andy), of Miramichi; four grandchildren, Ally, Haley, Tayler, Lucas; three sisters, Adele Penny (Tolson), of Moncton, Minerva O'Donnell (Ian), of Amherstburg, Ont., Gwen Kelly (John), of Miramichi; two brothers, Stephen Loggie (Wendy) and Bruce Loggie (Lana), all of Miramichi; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday, from 7-9 pm and Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Knox United Church, on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at 11 am, conducted by Penny Postlethwaite, assisted by Dean Lawrence. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Knox United Church, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
