It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hannah Guinchard announce her passing at the Bonne Bay Health Center, Norris Point on Friday, October 16th, 2009 in her 89th year, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Arnold (Edith), Claude (Emma), Joe (Helen), Sylvia (Clyde), Stella (Gerry), and Ivan (Debbie), her 20 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren, her brothers: Cornelius & Leonard (Blanche). Mother was predeceased by her husband Thomas Guinchard, her daughter Bride, her parents Cornelius & Hannah Biggin, her sisters: Elsie & Esme, and her brothers: Thomas, Isaac, & Charles. Also leaves to mourn a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. Cremation has taken place. The family received family and friends from the Holy Cross Anglican Church in Daniels Harbour on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from where a memorial service also took place on Sunday, October 18th, 2009. The Rev. John Olsson officiated with the burial at the church cemetery in Daniels Harbour. The funeral arrangements were under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
