Passed peacefully away on October 7, 2011 at the Carmelite House, after a courageous battle with cancer, David Francis Cooke of Bishop’s Falls. He was 65 years of age. Mr. Cooke retired from Construction work in 2008. He was prede-ceased by his parents, William and Mary Cooke; brother, Alfred; sisters, June Osbourne, Margaret Cooke; brother-in-law, Mark Driscoll and Gerry Carter. He leaves to mourn and will be dearly missed by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Jody (Catherine), David (Richa); daughters, Natasha (Rob Tubrett), Angelique (Tristen) Abbott. Also leaving to mourn are his sisters, Geraldine Driscoll, Barbara Cooke (Lloyd Osborne), Evelyn (Robert) Daniels, Loretta Cooke, Diane Cooke and Kay (Thomas) Fleming; brothers, Terry (Karen) and Greg (Jean); five grandchildren, Courtney Pastorius, Carissa Mills, Jeremy Desrosiers, Kimberly Desrosiers and Tyler Cooke and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Eugene Morris conducted funeral mass at Sacred Heart Parish, Bishop’s Falls on October 10 with inter-ment at the Roman Catholic cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Bishop’s Falls. Pallbearers were Jody Cooke, David Cooke, Gary Hearty, Terry Mills, Paul Mills and Dennis Mills.
