IRENE HAMMOND
The death occurred September 27 in Massachusetts of Irene Hammond
(Townshend) formerly of Amherst and, for years, resident in the United States.
Irene was born and raised in Amherst by her Uncle and Aunt, Alfred and Devonia Stockall. Her brother Donald of Dartmouth predeceased her.
A committal service will be held at the Amherst Cemetery on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 2 pm, with Archdeacon Reginald Stockall officiating.
A reception will follow at Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902)667-8777.
