JOAN CHARLENE HUNTER (Whiteman)

JOAN CHARLENE HUNTER (Whiteman)

Date de décès : 14 octobre 2011

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Charlene on October 14, 2011. Charlene was born November 28, 1947 in Toronto. As an infant, she moved with her parents to Moose Jaw. After graduation from Riverview Collegiate, Charlene obtained her teacher’s certificate from the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus. In 1970 she was married and took up residence in Regina. She was a stay at home Mom who thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities and rewards that it presented. Charlene was a woman of deep faith in God, who knew the how to pray like few others. Trusting in Jesus as a child, she served the Lord from an early age. She loved the church and loved worshipping God, always attentive to the needs of others as she prayed for them.
Charlene impacted positively on the lives she touched. She faithfully devoted herself to her husband Doug and her three children, and her two grandchildren whom she relished every occasion to look after them. Selfless in everything she did, with a loving heart she genuinely cared and put others first. Charlene was predeceased by her father Henry Whiteman and her older sister Joyce Velikas. She is remembered by her Mother Joan, her husband Doug, her children Kory (Natalie and grandchildren Abbie and Joel), Darren, and Amy (Lann); her brother Robert (Betty), her sisters Janice, and June (Dennis Vanin), her sister-in-law Joan Hunter, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Hillsdale Baptist Church, 101 Munroe Pl., Regina, SK with Rev. Bill Danyluk officiating.
