Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on October 18th, 2011 at the age of 89 years. Genny is predeceased by her husband Kevin. She leaves to mourn her daughter Ann (Ed Slaney); grandchildren: Ted Rice (Elvina Wells), Donna (John Parsons) and Terry Rice (Jodie); great-grandchildren: Robert and Julia Parsons and Liam Rice; sister Gertrude Perks; brother Bill Perks (Gail) and sister-in-law Helen Martin. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, October 21st, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in her memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
