It is with saddness the family announces the peaceful passing of Robert ‘Robbie’ MacInnis at St. John Regional Hospital, N.B., following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Millville, he was the son of the late Gordon and Catherine (MacLeod) MacInnis. Robbie resided on the Kingston Penninsula with Carol his wife of 28 years.
His sense of humour and the stories and songs he shared will be dearly missed.
Besides his wife, Robbie is survived by his four daughters, Ruth (Wally MacAulay), Glace Bay, Peggi (David MacEachern), Hammonds Plains, N.S., Neila (Eugene Lee), Hampton, N.B. and Amy MacInnis (Millville). Also stepdaughters, Crystal (Mark Cox) N.B., Susan Monahan, N.B., Karrie Brown (Joel), Alberta,Tracey Brown (Dan), N.B.; two sisters, Wendy (Gary Campbell) Millcreek, Lynn (Scott MacNeil), Millville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by stepdaughter, Pamela Brown.
There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to gather for a reception in celebration of his life at Millville Community Center on Saturday, Nov. 12th from 2-4 p.m.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, local animal shelter or charity of one's choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid's Funeral Home, Hampton, N.B..
