GALLAN, ALBERTA I. (DIDDY) - 1950-2011 - Miramichi - Alberta Isabelle (Diddy) Gallan, widow of the late Beverly Gallan, of McIntosh Street, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at the age of 61. Born in Chatham, on April 13, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sarah (Savoie) Joudry. She was a homemaker and attended St. Michaels Basilica, Miramichi. She was formerly affiliated with the Caring Friends support Group. She is survived by her special friend, Leo Babineau; one daughter, Sarah McLean (Gary), of Miramichi; two sons, Tom Gallan (Terry), of Millbrook, Ont. and William Gallan (Daniel), of Shediac; seven grandchildren, Nancy, Garyth, Evan, Sarah, Danny, Colby, Brianna; two sisters, Norma Richardson (Charles) and Donna Adams (Fred), all of Miramichi; one brother, Leonard Joudry (Jean), of Miramichi; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Beverly, in 1986; one daughter, Eva Mary; two sons, Wayne and Cyril Gallan.
Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian will be celebrated from St. Michaels Basilica, on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 11 am, conducted by Father John Fraser, assisted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight. Interment will be in the Corcoranville United Church Cemetery, Doyle's Brook. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday afternoon, at 1:45pm.
