It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Allan McKay announce his passing on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville at the age of 77 years. He leaves to mourn his sister Onie McCarthy, brother Alvin (Netta) McKay as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Isaac and Lucy McKay; brothers: William, Wilfred; sisters: Edna, Edith, Melba and Rosalie. Visitation will take place from St. George Anglican Church in Robinson’s on Sunday from 2–4 & 7–9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Anglican Cemetery, McKay’s. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or a donation may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
