BIRD, BARBARA H. - (January 25, 1913 - October 29, 2011) - The passing of Barbara H. Bird of Carleton Manor, Woodstock, NB and formerly of Arthurette, NB occurred on October 29, 2011 at the Carleton Manor at the age of 98. Born in Plaster Rock, NB she was the daughter of the late John and Jennie Seymour. Barbara is survived by her daughter Alma Bidlake (Walter) of Harvey, NB; son Theodore (Ted) Bird (Debbie) of Harvey, NB; grandchildren Michael McQuade (Duranie), Randy McQuade (Joy), Karen Low (Darrin), David Bird (Cheryl) and Jennie Bird; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law Maxine Wheeler and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; husband Aubrey Bird; infant daughter Jennie Elizabeth; grandson Stephen Bird McQuade; three sisters Olive Patterson, Alma Speer and Marion Brooks; brother John Seymour. Barbara was a retired school teacher, having taught in many schools in New Brunswick, Quebec, as well as Tobique First Nation School.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 1st at 2 pm from St. James United Church, West Riverside Dr. Perth- Andover, NB with Rev. Susan Fleming officiating. Reception to follow at the church hall. Interment in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Presbyterian Cemetery or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
